Book (1941) Page(s) 46. R. Marion Hatton. An American Review of the New Roses. Spain's only offering was Pahissa's F. Ferrer, a low climbing Rose which has been around for several years as " Vellut Climber." Flowers are three inch, semi-double blooms of deep red with a nice stamen mass. There is a mild fragrance. Bloom is not profuse at any time, but odd flowers now and then during summer and autumn are pleasing. It will be an acceptable, but not important, Pillar Rose.
