'Perseverance' rose Description

Bloom:
Fuchsia / magenta and deep pink. None to mild, old rose fragrance. up to 21 petals. Average diameter 4.25". Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, ruffled bloom form. Prolific, continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season. Medium, long, ovoid buds.
Habit:
Tall, armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, spreading. Large, matte, medium green foliage. 6 to 10 leaflets.
Height: 4' to 6' (120 to 185cm). Width: 4' (120cm).
Growing:
Can be used for cut flower, garden or landscape. Very vigorous. heat tolerant. prefers full sun. Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot . Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Feed this rose well.
Breeder's notes:
As the tag was lost, there are two possibilities for parentage: Mister Lincoln X Exotica, or 99-33 (Veldfire X Timeless)X Veteran's Honor. There were different versions of Timeless around at that time and ours was the pink one, so I lean toward that possibility.
