Origin:
Bred by Jacques Foulard (France, 1845).
Introduced in France by Moulin aîne et fils in 1849 as 'Galathée'.
Class:
Damask Perpetual, Hybrid Perpetual, Portland.  
Bloom:
White, light pink highlights..  Average diameter 2.5".  Large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Rounded.  Medium, light green, wavy or ruffled foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.
