Discovered by Cipriano Soria (United States, before 1954).
Introduced in United States by Amling-DeVor Nursery in 1954 as 'Garnette, Cl.'.

Bloom:

Dark red. Mild fragrance. 45 to 50 petals. Average diameter 2". Medium, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Small, ovoid buds.

Habit:

Climbing. Dark green, leathery foliage. 3 to 7 leaflets.

Height: 8' to 10' (245 to 305cm).
