Class:
Climber, Large-Flowered Climber.
Bloom:
Purple to fuchsia / magenta, white center. 5 to 12 petals. Medium, single to semi-double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, open bloom form. Prolific, continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.
Habit:
Tall, climbing, few or no prickles/thorns, upright. Large, glossy, dark green, edged purple-red, maroon highlights foliage. 3 to 5 leaflets.
Growing:
Can be used for beds and borders, garden, landscape, pillar or shrub. Vigorous. benefits from winter protection in colder climates. can be grown as a shrub. can be trained as a climber. drought resistant. Protect tender new spring growth from hard freezes that may cause canker, die-back and death of the plant. . Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Can be grown as a climber in mild climates. Can be pruned to maintain a shorter habit.

Notes:
This is an open pollinated seedling of Night Owl. While this is most likely a self pollination, I have the pollen parent listed as unknown as there is no way to determine whether or not this is correct. All open pollinated seedlings of Night Owl appear to have stems/branches that are either completely thornless or almost thornless.
