Origin:
Bred by Reimer Kordes (1922-1997) (Germany, 1949).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1952 as 'Berlin'.

Lambertiana, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Orange - scarlet, golden-yellow stamens.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, single (4-8 petals), in large clusters bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  Dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 5' to 6'7" (150 to 200cm).  Width: 3' (90cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
