Bred by Louis Mermet (France, 1931).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1936 as 'Soleil de France'.

Pernetiana.  

Apricot - golden-yellow, copper undertones.  Reverse striped scarlet.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  

Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  Glossy, dark green foliage.  

Height: up to 20" (up to 50cm).
