Breeder's notes:
Sets tons of openly pollinated hips, and flowers at the same time. In this respect, it's like a rugosa. But it doesn't have any rugosa looking foilage. Nonetheless, I think this is a rose that could create really good floribundas. I will cross this rose with Goldmoss to see if I can create a perpetually blooming rose.
After transplanting this rose, I've discovered that its roots are extremely fibrous. More so than what you would see in a hybrid tea or floribunda. I've planted this right next to Henry Kuska's "Rugelda x R15" seedling, with hopes of making the cross between these soon.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
It looks similar to Robusta, but in a more inferior way. It fades badly in the sun. However, this is a very fertile rose and it blooms a lot. Like Rugosa, it makes hips and blooms at the very same time and blooms for several times. It has a strong clove fragrance, which makes me sneeze. I think this rose could make wonderful floribundas. I plan to cross it's pollen back to Livin' Easy to see if I can keep some of its good re-blooming traits, but in a color that doesn't fade badly.
