Bred by Alexander (Sandy) Dickson III (1893-1975) (United Kingdom, 1967).
Introduced in France by NIRP International in 1967 as 'Rouge et Or'.
Introduced by Unknown (Australia) in 1968 as 'Red Gold'.
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1971 as 'Redgold'.
Class:
Floribunda, Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Golden-yellow, deep pink edges.  Mild, fruity fragrance.  25 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 3".  Medium, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, upright, well-branched.  Large, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.  

Height: 31" to 47" (80 to 120cm).  Width: up to 39" (up to 100cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
