'Arlequin' rose Description

Bloom:
Deep pink to red, lighter mottling. Mild fragrance. Average diameter 3.25". Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), flat bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright. Dark green foliage. 5 leaflets.
Height: 39" (100cm).

Notes:
The rose misspelled 'Ariquien' at Sangerhausen is probably this 'Arlequin'. At L'Haÿ 'Arlequin' is assigned to Paillard (1837), but is the later version introduced by Vibert, says François Joyaux.
