Bred by Pedro (Pere) Dot (Spain, before 1944).
Introduced in France by Meilland et Cie in 1944 as 'Perla de Alcanada'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1958 as 'Perla de Alcanada'.
Class:
Miniature.  
Bloom:
Carmine-pink.  18 petals.  Average diameter 1".  Small, semi-double (9-16 petals), flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Small, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Short, armed with thorns / prickles, compact.  Glossy, dark green, dense foliage.  

Height: 6" to 14" (15 to 35cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
