Patents:
United States - Patent No: PP 19,032 on 15 Jul 2008 VIEW USPTO PATENTVarietal denomination:cv. Radsweet
The new variety of Rosa hybrida shrub rose plant of the present invention was created at Greenfield, Wis., U.S.A., by artificial pollination wherein two parents were crossed which previously had been studied in the hope that they would contribute the desired characteristics. The female parent (i.e., the seed parent) was the `Radtee` variety (non-patented in the United States). The male parent (i.e., the pollen parent) of the new variety was the `Radral` variety (non-patented in the United States). The parentage of the new variety can be summarized as follows: `Radtee`.times.`Radral`.
Notes:
This rose was added to the database as it is listed as a parent for 'Sunny Knockout.' Dr. David Zlesak reports that Alaska is triploid. Parentage of RADtee x RADlots provided by William Radler.
