Origin:

Discovered by Frank Kingdon-Ward (United Kingdom, 1924).

Class:

Species / Wild.

Bloom:

Cream, brown center, yellow stamens.. Mahogany-red disc at center. Moderate fragrance. 5 petals. Average diameter 1.5". Medium, single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.

Habit:

Tall, arching, bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, lax, upright, well-branched. Medium, matte, medium green, leathery foliage. 5 to 11 leaflets.

Height: up to 6' (up to 185cm). Width: up to 6' (up to 185cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for specimen. Do not prune.

The plant with pink blooms in Sangerhausen and Collection Loubert seems to be mislabeled and could be Rosa davidii
