Dark red Miniature. Registration name: Black Heart Exhibition name: Black Heart
Bloom:
Dark red. None to mild fragrance. Average diameter 2". Small, single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Medium, bushy, few or no prickles/thorns. Medium, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.
Height: up to 15" (up to 40cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, container rose or garden. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
