Bred by Jack E. Christensen (United States, 1986).
Class:
Grandiflora, Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Mauve or purple blend.  Strong fragrance.  30 petals.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:

Height: 30" to 5' (75 to 150cm).  Width: up to 4' (up to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

According to the New Zealand Plant Variety Rights (PVR) web page, application for a PVR Grant for this rose was made in 1986 and granted in 1987 (PVR Grant No. 382).
