Introduced in Belgium by Verschaffelt in 1868 as 'Monsieur Journeaux'.
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1876 as 'Monsieur Journaux'.

Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Scarlet, dark red shading, cerise center.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
