ARS:
Red blend Miniature. Registration name: BENmagicExhibition name: Kristin
Bloom:
Red and white, red edges. None to mild fragrance. 27 to 30 petals. Average diameter 1.5". Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, high-centered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Medium, bushy, compact, few or no prickles/thorns, upright. Large, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.
Height: 2' to 30" (60 to 75cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 11. Can be used for beds and borders, container rose or cut flower. Produces decorative hips. Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
Notes:
This variety displays double white flowers, edged with carmine red. Once the blooms are at their perfect half-open stage, further development is arrested and the blooms last almost forever. Vigorous, compact and upright plant that has deep green, glossy foliage.
Justice Miniature Roses says this rose is a bright, cherry red set off against a chalk white reverse. It packs loads of substance for long-lasting cut flowers.
