Red blend Hybrid Perpetual. Registration name: Dr. Miroslav Tyrs
Origin:
Discovered by Jan Böhm (Czechoslovakia (former), 1932).
Bloom:
Cherry-red, crimson shading. Strong fragrance. Very large, double (17-25 petals), ruffled bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns. Large, glossy, dark green foliage.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Early sources state that 'Dr. Miroslav Tyrs' is identical to 'Souvenir de Jeanne Balandreau'.
