Orange or orange-red Floribunda. Registration name: Boccaccio (floribunda, Verschuren, 1963)
Bloom:
Scarlet. 30 to 40 petals. Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
Giovanni Boccaccio, one of the greatest figures in Italian literature, was born in either Paris or Florence or Tuscany, depending on which source you're looking at, in 1313. He fell in love with a woman he referred to as La Fiammetta (The Flame). His greatest work in considered to be the Decameron. Boccaccio died 21 December 1375 in Artaldo, near Florence, Italy.
