Origin:
Bred by Eugène Turbat & Compagnie (France, 1926).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1928 as 'Ernestine Cosme'.
Class:
Hybrid Wichurana, Rambler.  
Bloom:
Red, white center.  Large, single (4-8 petals), in large clusters bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing.  Glossy, light green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Hardy.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.
