Introduced in France by EFR (Editions Françaises des Roses) in 1959 as 'Barcarolle'.

Bloom:
Crimson, purple shading, geranium-red shading.  Flowers crimson tinted geranium-red.  Mild fragrance.  50 petals.  Large, very full (41+ petals), old-fashioned bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Short, bushy, well-branched.  

Height: up to 5¼' (up to 160cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.
