Discovered by David W. Ruston (Australia, 1962). Discovered by Meilland International (France, before 1965).
Introduced in France by URS (Universal Rose Selection)-Meilland in 1965 as 'Baccará, Cl.'.

Bloom:
Geranium-red, orange-red shading.   (Rouge géranium irisé de rouge andrinople).  Double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Two climbing sports of Baccara have been found in Australia and France.
