Bred by L. Pernille Olesen (Denmark, 1988). Bred by Mogens Nyegaard Olesen (Denmark, 1988).
Introduced in Denmark by Poulsen Roser A/S in 1996 as 'Imperial Palace'.

Bloom:

Red. Mild, apple, fruity fragrance. 55 to 65 petals. Average diameter 2.25". Medium, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, globular, quartered, reflexed bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Rounded buds.

Habit:

Glossy, medium green foliage. 5 leaflets.

Height: 16" to 2' (40 to 60cm). Width: 14" to 18" (35 to 45cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b and warmer. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
