Bred by E. Gurney Hill Co. (United States, 1927).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1928 as 'Fontanelle'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Lemon-yellow, golden-yellow center.  Fading at edges. Variable.  Moderate fragrance.  up to 29 petals.  Very large, borne mostly solitary, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Tall, bushy, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
'Mme. Butterfly' x 'Souvenir de Claudius Pernet' was an alternative parentage mentioned in the early references.
