Introduced in France by Pivoines Rivière in 1992 as 'Baron Thyssen Bornemisza'.

Hybrid suffruticosa, Tree peony.

Mauve, dark purple streaks.  Average diameter 10".  Very large, semi-double bloom form.  Early.
