Bred by John & Robyn Sheldon (United States, 2003).
Introduced in United States by Certified Nurseries in 2004 as 'Hopie Girl'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Light yellow.  Mild fragrance.  24 to 32 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Medium to large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, classic hybrid tea, exhibition, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, upright.  Medium, matte, medium green foliage.  

Height: 4' to 6' (120 to 185cm).  Width: 2' to 4' (60 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be grown as a shrub.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant, susceptible to blackspot .  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Feed this rose well.  Prune dead wood.  Requires good cultivation if it is to perform its best.  
Breeder's notes:
Hopie Girl is a non phototropic exhibition Hybrid tea. With proper pruning it can easily reach well over 6 feet in warmer climates. Fall is the best time of year for this rose.

Notes:
Removal of the terminal bud when it first begins to develop will result in beautiful hybrid tea sprays of 3 to 6 blooms. Hopie Girl consistently produces blooms with exhibition form, especially in the Fall.
