Planted my first rose (labelled 'Blue Girl', which I now know as 'Kölner Karnival') when I was 11. In a poor spot, in awful soil, and WAY TOO HARSH of winters, so it didn't make a second year, but from the first amazing bloom on that doomed HT, I've never looked back.
