I'm in zone 6 according to the "Map," but consider my Martinsburg garden (for the most part) to be nearly zone 7 due to our milder winters.

I'm in my 50's and grow most flowers directly from seed. I'm just now getting back into roses with my main interest to be hybrid teas, but I do enjoy the floribundas, climbers, and miniatures in whimsical "odd" colors, too.
