'Marie Pavié' rose Reviews & Comments

Marie Pavie shows promise to be a fantastic performer. It has been in the ground for 3 months now, planted against a west facing wall. The last 3 weeks have been around 100F every day, and the plant continues to grow vigorously and produce sprays of fragrant flowers that do not wilt, brown, or turn crispy on the edges despite the hot afternoon reflected sun. The flowers open a soft pink, and stay pink for a few days before fading to dirty grey. In my high desert climate they are distinctly not white. They last 5-7 days. The fragrance wafts some, with only a dozen flowers on the still small plant. No disease so far, not even aphids. The petals do not drop when the flowers fade. They are easily removed with just a touch, but without grooming the faded flowers can look messy. This plant loves to bloom.
