I have two double delights in my garden, i noticed this strange looking lump on the side of the bud but i left it there because the rose is healthy, it has opened and i have twin blooms from one bud, is this possible or is it considered an abnormality? Both blooms are fine, i have a couple of pics i will post here, but is this something i should be concerned about?

thank you

Monica, it is not normal, but it can happen. Enjoy it as something special, it is nothing to be worried about. The development of the blooms sometimes go awry. A nuisance is when you get proliferation, i.e. you have a bloom coming out of another. I had one rose which only proliferated, that was not a nice sight!
