Regarding the question in the description for this rose, "Identical to 'Botero'?", in my opinion it is clearly distinct. The Winschoten evolves to a rosette and the colour is a raspberry red. The Botero is described as having a strong damask scent but Winschoten is a strong sweet, fruity scent that reminds me of a Nahema.
It is a beautiful rose and I bought it completely on impulse when I saw it in my gardening supply store, shopping for regular supplies. It was a bit beaten-up and not well looked after but it was throwing out full buds and I knew it was a fighter. She hasn't disappointed.
