In Nelson, the Samuels Rose Garden can be found in the grounds of the historic Broadgreen House. It is named after a prominent rose nurseryman from the area. The garden, opened in 1968, contains over 3000 plants of 560 Heritage and modern cultivars laid out in a formal design with large pergolas providing support for climbing roses.
