The property of EkKullen is 0.6 hectar (~ 1.4 acres), placed by the lake Mälaren and just outside the quaint little town of Mariefred, which also features the old castle Gripsholm.
The Garden is a mixture of woodlands, cultivated garden and potager, with some 500 sorts of roses,100 types of lavender and a growing number of peonies and clematis.
The beehive is new since 2014 and the bees enjoy the cultivated flowers as much as the wild varities. They are especially keen visitors of the wild raspberry in the beginning of july, which produces a very fine and delicate honey.
