More than 400 varieties, 40'000 plants on an area of 15 hectares (approx 200'000 sq.yds). The garden was inaugurated on June 14, 1913 on the occasion of a Rose & Garden Exhibition. The current garden contains mostly modern roses. It has a good selection of roses bred in the former German Democratic Republic.
