My garden is in a wooded area on the borderline of Zones 6B-7A, East Coast US. Although growing roses has been a longtime dream of mine, up until recently it was not possible due to the utter lack of sun in our woods. No part of my property ever got more than 2-3 hours of direct sun, which is not what roses like. Things changed after a tropical storm fell some 20+ trees and created a natural clearing. Once I realized that the newly open spot gets the required 6-7 hours of sun a day I decided that it is finally time for my dream to come true.
