Plaisanterie  rose photo courtesy of member gardenpixie

Plaisanterie grown as a standard (tree) to cover a concrete wall.

We didn't know this rose when we bought it, but it was covered with blooms and full of bees, so we thought it would be nice. We couldn't prune all our roses this spring, so our Plaisanterie is heavy with buds and blooms. I agree it is a breed that needs little care and is still very rewarding. Also the spent blooms don't look too bad.
