The same bloom, another three days later, 9.30 am (2nd July 2016). Obviously just about kaput now, and never opened fully. Not at all like the usual 'Peace' form. This may be due to the temperatures recently, with overnight lows in the 3-7 C range (daytime highs 17- 21 C).
Since this is the first time this bush has flowered in the middle of winter, I don't yet know if the same behaviour will occur with all midwinter blooms. There are more buds on the bush at the moment, so I'm interested to see how they behave.
