Arvid`s garden, Lista, southwestern coast of Norway. Photo taken on the 20th of October 2009. The photo shows that some of the outer petals have been scorched, which is once again to blame on the often strong and salty north west winds. This rose flowered almost continuously throughout the season of 2009, and way into December ,when frost came and put a stop to it. The frost has stayed with us ever since and has had me worried specially for this one and for Felicite et Perpetue as they are not very winter hardy and tend to hang on to their leaves throughout the mild winters we usually have here. Most of the foliage was still lush green when frost came. I keep my fingers crossed.
