Rosier Multiflore/Rosa Multiflora, figured in Herbier général de l'amateur (1816), "It is from the English that we get this charming and new acquisition, Rosa multiflora. Monsieur Evans, one of the heads of the East India Company, brought it to England, having bought it in Japon or China in 1804, and four years later, it was transported to France."
