Found Rose, Climber, Hybrid China, Shrub.
Bloom:
Purple - red. Sets hips. Moderate fragrance. Average diameter 3.5". Double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, suckers on its own roots.
Height: 4'11" (150cm).

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Widespread survivor rose in churchyards and old gardens in South Australia and Victoria; also found in NZ.
The foundling does not repeat. Therefore it is not ‘Mme. Isaac Pereire’ which repeats.
