"Dye Cottage" rose Description

Bloom:
Deep pink, lighter reverse, ages to lighter . Mild fragrance. Very double, cluster-flowered, old-fashioned bloom form. Prolific, once-blooming spring or summer. Decorative, pointed buds.
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, lax, suckers on its own roots.

Notes:
Discovered in 2017 growing near an abandoned cottage in the Torridge District of Devon.
Inflorescence: Clusters and blooming on the tips of laterals. Bud red when sepals are parting. Bloom: A 'Zephirine Drouhin' pink, ageing lighter. Paler reverse. Double, cupped. Petals: 25 to 30 Fragrance: mild. Receptacle: Long, narrowing just under bud. Pedicel: Bracts: Hips: Not seen yet. Sepals: Long. Thin wings. Foliage: Reddish margins when young Stipule: Canes: Lax. Prickles: Small pointed prickles on the older wood. Bush: Suckering. Disease: Season: Seems to be spring only.
