Bred by André Carl (United States, 2022).

Climber, Shrub.  

Velvety black-red with dark orange-red blended centers. Petals remain slightly curled even when opento its fullest, which is not all the way. Prominent yellow anthers contrast sharply with the petal shape and color.  Mild fragrance.  8 to 15 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Medium, semi-double to double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, open, ruffled bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Medium, long sepals, pointed buds.  

Tall, climbing, upright, well-branched.  Medium, glossy, dark green, edged purple-red, maroon highlights , maroon underside foliage.  5 leaflets.  

Can be used for beds and borders, garden, pillar or shrub.  Vigorous.  can be grown as a shrub.  can be trained as a climber.  drought resistant.  rain tolerant.  suitable for a pillar.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.
