Bloom:
White. Large, semi-double to double, borne mostly solitary bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season. Large buds.
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles. 5 to 9 leaflets.
Height: up to 30" (up to 75cm).

Notes:
The description of Thory mentions 8-10 ranks of petals, i.e. 40-50 petals, however's Redouté's drawing only shows a semi-double to double bloom. In reverse, the drawing names it as "multiplici", while the text as "submultiplici", i.e. less than full. Renamed 'Dame du Lac' by Pronville in 1828.
