Bloom:
Orange-red, carmine-red highlights, yellow shading. [Red.]. Variable red. Reddish copper. sometimes flushed or streaked yellow. Pedicels glandular. Receptacle has glands usually on lower half only.. Strong fragrance. Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Tall, upright.
Height: 4'11" to 9'10" (150 to 300cm). Width: up to 16'5" (up to 500cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.

Notes:
Cross between an unreleased seedling bred by Mme Ducher (probably from Earl of Eldon) and Mme Falcot. See References of 1897.
Seems to show yellow tones in spring, and deep red in summer.
