Bred by Samuel and John Feast (United States, before 1843).
Introduced in Australia by Darling Nursery in 1851 as 'Queen of the Prairies'.
Introduced in Australia by Law, Somner Pty. Ltd. in 1886 as 'Beauty of the Prairies'.

Bloom:

Pink, lilac shading, white stripes. Strong, opinions vary fragrance. Average diameter 3". Medium to large, double (17-25 petals), in large clusters, cupped, globular, scalloped bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.

Habit:

Climbing. Large, dark green foliage.

Height: 4'11" to 9'10" (150 to 300cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for cut flower, garden or pillar. Very hardy. very vigorous. can be trained as a climber.
