Introduced in France by Établissements Léonard Lille L. Lille o. & Cie. in 1924 as 'Baby Faurax'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1925 as 'Baby Faurax'.
Introduced in France by Louis Reymond in 1927 as 'Baby Faurax'.

Patio, Polyantha.  

Mauve.  Lilac, deep mauve, violet blue, amethyst & steel blue, lavender, reddish violet. a touch of white at center, paler petal reverse.  Moderate, grape fragrance.  Average diameter 1".  Small, double (17-25 petals), in large clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  

Armed with thorns / prickles.  Dark green foliage.  

Height: 1' to 2' (30 to 60cm).  

USDA zone 5b through 10b.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  

The name was given in honor of a Belgian nursery.
Joyce Demits at Tanglewood Farms says Baby Faurax has double, rich, lavender flowers that appear in small- and mid-sized clusters.
