Origin:
Bred by Antoine Levet (père) (France, 1869).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1873 as 'Paul Néron'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Deep pink, darker shading.  Moderate, opinions vary fragrance.  50 to 55 petals.  Average diameter 6".  Very large, very double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped-to-flat, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Tall, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Light green foliage.  

Height: 4' to 7' (120 to 215cm).  Width: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Can be used for cut flower or garden.  Very vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to rust .
