Bloom:
Carmine-red and purple. Strong, spice fragrance. Average diameter 4". Large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns, upright. Dark green foliage.
Height: 4' to 4'11" (120 to 150cm). Width: up to 32" (up to 80cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 10b. Can be used for cut flower, garden or hedge. Heat tolerant.

Notes:
Slow growing. Long canes, short flowering stems. [Dr. Yuki Mikanagi reports that Zi Yan Fei Wu is a very old Chinese cultivar, and little else is known about it. Zi Yan Fe Wu] Refer also to the 1902 rose 'Julius Fabianics de Misefa' and the 1910 rose 'Madame Eugene Marlitt'.
