Origin:

Bred by Amanda Beales (1967-2013) (United Kingdom, 2004).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Peter Beales Roses in 2004 as 'Festive Jewel'.

Class:

Climber, Shrub.

Bloom:

Pink blend. Strong fragrance. 41 petals. Average diameter 4". Medium, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Medium, bushy, climbing. Medium, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.

Height: up to 4'11" (up to 150cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for cut flower, garden, hedge or pillar. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

Breeder's notes:

(Modern Shrub) A large shrub rose or small climber with beautiful high centred deep salmon pink, highly perfumed flowers in clusters. Growth is upright, the plant well clothed in fresh green foliage, a more vigorous form of Aloha. Named by St Edmunds Lodge of Norfolk Freemasons as an additional form of raising funds for Masonic charities.
