Introduced in United States by Roses Unlimited in 2005 as 'New Blush'.

Hybrid Gigantea, Shrub.  

Pink.  Blooms both solitary and in clusters.  None to mild fragrance.  26 to 40 petals.  Average diameter 3".  Large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  

Short, spreading.  Medium, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.  

Height: up to 4' (up to 120cm).  

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden.  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  

This is a ‘China’ rose, a cross between ‘Old Blush’, R.gigantea and a Tea rose. (We have many Teas in India, but perhaps, even more than elsewhere, very few have authentic names. We too give ‘study names’, usually of the place, the garden or the person from where/whom we collected them).
The name ‘New Blush’ just leapt at us, it was such an obvious choice, though I must admit that the leaping process took a while, as we grew the plant for quite some years before deciding to register it.
‘New Blush’ is a compact shrub, very nearly a ground cover, with medium pink very full, old- fashioned flowers produced singly, and with a distinct ‘Tea’ fragrance
